I'm all for cutting TA. If it wasn't for his contract I'd feel that he does have some value but he doesn't come close to being worth his current salary. So, take the cap hit but at the same time we'd save about $3MM that can go elsewhere.
Regarding Watkins, I want the Rams to do what they can, within reason, to keep Watkins. I think that he brings so much to our offense, even if he isn't getting the ball and piling up monster numbers. I think those would come next season after being immersed in this offense for a season and a full offseason. But if he wants 14-15 mill, I don't think he's earned that kind of money to date.
So it'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out, but that's my 2 cents on the topic.
