This isn't about receiver only.
I've been here since the GSOT days. I've seen the double standards.
I've seen the inconsistency relating to tolerance of a player's performance too many times. I got blistered by many here because I was the first to call out Robinson (actually coming out of his first training camp). I was told patience...patience...patience. He will develop. Well the writing was on the wall from the start.
Then I see a guy come in and help this team and because didn't get the opportunity to do more, we should let him walk him if he asks for good money. Then, we have a coach for one season, and all of the sudden we have figured his style out completely. Well, I think the writing is on the wall here too. And, I think the reading of the tea leaves here is completely wrong.
So quick to have the answer on one hand. So slow to see reality on the other hand.
And frankly, I've kind of earned the right to make these remarks because, not to sound arrogant, I've been right on most of them....Pettis, Spagnuolo, Robinson for starters. And when I've been wrong (Fisher), I don't fight the truth and quickly state the reality...that it was a failure.
IMO, too many are too quick to judge a guy who has actually positively affected this team, this offense and helped us to get to 11-5. As I said, we wouldn't be there without him. IMO, too many are too slow to judge a guy who does squat...I'll give you my new one...Everett.
