To my eyes Ramsey pulled a lot of unfair criticism last year because of weak safety play behind him. He was also asked to do much - which for the most part he did, but it stretched him thin at times.
That's kinda my point I have been trying to make. By asking Ramsey to do so much it not only stretched HIM thin it also hindered the development of the younger kids and also prevented us from "evaluating" them better.
We were a 5-12 team.
What was Morris so afraid of happening if he was a bit more aggressive with the scheme/players?
Now we "blow up" the defense without knowing how good or bad some of our kids really are. That could be some very valuable insight.
It just seems counter productive to me.
Oh well, I am looking for a more aggressive defense this year with the additions of Lake and Pleasant. I really hope we don't "baby" these kids this year. There are low expectations this anyway.
Time to man up and not play scared anymore.
Let's put on our "big boy panties" and put the Charmin Shell to rest.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
