I think was decidedly better than Henderson. After the injury, and as you well point out 'quitting, I'm not certain where Akers is today.
I lean positive because I believe he did 'just' enough last year in that cluster you know what '22 was to give me hope that he could be what I think he once was. But, again, I don't know that.
As for where I think he 'was'... I don't know that he was elite but I do think he was close. AND... I'm pretty adamant in that opinion. IOW... even if he can't get back what he had that won't change my initial opinion of his talent. It would be just another sad NFL Player tale that is far from uncommon. - JamesJM
