I thought when healthy they complimented each other very well. Of course we all know the "health" issues for both didn't help them.
Not a fan of either as a "true" RB1. Neither are that type of back. They scare nobody and can't stay healthy.
I think Akers could still be good in a "rotation", just not RB1.
My biggest issue with Akers? He quit on us and on his team. That was a bad look. We can do better and might have already found someone in the draft to replace him.
I am not a fan of having ONLY the smaller RB's. I always like to have at least one "power" RB in the rotation for short yardage and to be able to out "physical" the defenses that are determined to stop our run game.
I am hoping Akers can have a great year this year. His work will be cut out for him but he does have some extra motivation too so there is that.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
