Akers has a career average of 4.2 yards per carry.
To get 1,000 yards over a 17 game season he only needs to get 60 yards a game. If he's healthy all season: 15 carries a game at 4.2 ypc = 63 yards a game = 1,071 yards.
That bar is set pretty low. I think an injury is the only thing that will stop him, especially considering that this is his contract year.
In fact, he only has run for 1,414 in his whole career combined. I would be shocked if he even got to 900 yards this year.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
