I get it. I see a highly talented coach who IMO is in a learning stage, you just see an everyday RB coach who can't do much if anything else. You can't see that a guy can still learn under Sean being the head O guy, but it's happened on several occasions....Brown just hasn't had that chance....you don't see he deserves the chance.....Fair enough since it's all based on ones'eyes and feelings.
Actually, I’m a big Brown fan. Everything I’ve read about him is very positive. His handling of RB’s has been exceptional.
But OC calling plays in this O is a whole different animal and I’d prefer a proven vet like Reich if McVay is gonna give his OC autonomy. This is the ONLY way that I see McVay turning over the reins and gaining needed stress relief.
Brown as a rookie OC would force McVay to be even MORE hands on and consequently increase his stress level. The exact opposite thing that he says he wants and needs.
