Both are credited with being very good route runners with good hands. Both have good speed, but won't consistently take the top off of a defense. I suspect that McSnead will address that this off-season. Kupp has experience while Jefferson is on a rookie contract. Kupp has proven to be a good blocker and good teammate. Haven't seen too much of Jefferson's blocking, but know he has twby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
I think it's a toss-up as to which game Goff played worse in...the Miami game or week 16 against the Seahawks. He should've been pulled in both, but wasn't. But the one thing I remember about week 16 was that Nsimba Webster fumbled on a punt return in the 4th quarter. The Rams recovered the fumble, but Webster got yanked for putting the ball on the ground. I wasn't hating on that decision,by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteDeadpool <snipped> I sure hope where ever he lands, they have the #1 OL in the league. And the best RB for play-action...and an elite deep threat at WR...and the best offensive coordinator who will call plays that will always have WR's wide open (even against the likes of Jalen Ramsey)...and a top-rated defense.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRam49 The 'wins' number belongs only to McVay? He executed the plays? Made the passes? Scrambled for the first down against the Cowboys to end the game? Made the ridiculous pass to Higbee to keep the drive alive in New Orleans/NFC Championship game? It was McVay that hit Everett up the sideline to beat the Chiefs on MNF? Sean was the one executing plays against the Vikings? He beat theby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
Just in looking at this thread, it seems like the team needs: 1) a top-notch RB; 2) a top-notch C; 3) a top-notch deep threat at WR; 4) a defense that won't collapse in the last two minutes of the game due to sheer exhaustion of repeatedly cleaning up after their turnover-prone QB; and oh yeah, 5) a better play-caller than the one who once had the team scoring 30 points a game. QuoteBearlyThere Agree it was a gradual build with a potential catalyst event when Goff was benched. I'm thinking it was the disaster in Seattle. Though he generally played poorly throughout, I'm thinking that it was the two back-to-back series (the first being the infamous WTH interception followed by the series where Goff took off running for the first down only to slide well before the linby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
Not overly enthused about the OL FA's. I'd like to move on from Blythe, but I don't know how much Mack has in the tank. Could he (Mack) serve as a cheap placeholder while we try to groom a draft pick? As for FA WR's...I'm thinking that John Ross could be had on the cheap. He has speed to burn (which we desperately need), but is hurt often - body likely isn't made for the rigors of an NFL careeby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com

1. This is the same Green Bay defense that got ran over by the 49'ers last year. 2. In a match-up between the Rams OL and Packers DL, who would you choose? Rams OL. 3. In a match-up between the Rams DL and the Packers OL (minus their best o-lineman), who would you choose? Rams DL. Is looking at how successful Rams' running game can be early. Quotemax I was told that McVay has reached his boiling point on ball security. But it’s not something that’s irreparable. Not turning the ball over in Seattle was good for Goff. (LOL!) He sure as hell tried to turn it over with that duck he chunked up into double-coverage that Kupp saved. I think that Goff will need to show an ability to go deep with his thumb in practice in order to cby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com

Yeah, I don't know anyone that we could pick up that would be practical to replace someone who's already on the active roster. And to be frank with you, I don't understand how the Packers could pick-up Veldeer. I mean...he was on Indy's active roster last week. And then the Colts resign him back to the practice squad after their season ended? What...did they (the Colts) think that he might beby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
Yes, I posted in another thread Ferragamo's comments on the Fox 11 Sports Wrap show with Slater. He said that he felt that Goff was likely upset to learn that he wasn't starting last week as he was deemed healthy enough to be the backup. This was a good point as was Slater's response that McVay was looking after his $134M QB who was likely still limited by the fractured thumb.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
I wouldn't mind seeing the same numbers as we saw last Saturday (with maybe giving a couple of carries/screens to Woods). It's not like Akers has had very many rushing attempts this season. He should be fresh and ready to go along with Brown. Only concern is ball security as Akers HAS put the ball on the ground. The cold weather won't help that situation. Bottom line...the more we can runby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
McVay only asked Goff to pass 19 times on Saturday and I don't think that he was going to ask Wolford to do any more than that either. On the flip side, Akers and Brown rushed the ball 37 times. Considering where the Ram offense has been the past couple of weeks, I don't see any departure from the run-heavy formula (except that we might see Woody get a couple of handoffs). All this is to saby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
I'm a 50 y.o. African-American who suffers from a co-morbidity (high blood pressure caused, in part, by recent LA Ram QB-issues). I wanted to sign-up for one of the testing trials over the summer, but couldn't get the family to back me up due to historical "guinea pig" concerns with African-Americans. Quoteno name I think McVay is a control freak and doesn't allow his QB to play football. This is not an endorsement for Goff, I am just trying to put myself in any QB's shoes. I believe to my very soul that McVay's inflexibility and control will cause issue with ANY QB. I disagree. Going back to the beginning of McVay's tenure with the team, there were several articles mentioning how hby ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
I know they (like everyone else) had their hands full with San Francisco last year. Considering Akers performance of late (and the likely weather), it'd be nice to control things on the ground and keep Rogers on the sidelines.by ramBRO - RamsFootballFans.com
Watching Brees, Brady, and even Rivers...these guys seem to know where the open man is (whether it be their #1 WR, TE, or RB) and are able to hit them as though they were the primary option.
