The 'wins' number belongs only to McVay?
He executed the plays? Made the passes? Scrambled for the first down against the Cowboys to end the game? Made the ridiculous pass to Higbee to keep the drive alive in New Orleans/NFC Championship game?
It was McVay that hit Everett up the sideline to beat the Chiefs on MNF? Sean was the one executing plays against the Vikings? He beat the Seahawks, throwing the ball, with pins in his throwing thumb, while navigating blitzing Seahawks? He had the 100+ QB rating against the Packers?
McVay is a good coach. Goff is a good QB. If you want to credit them both, I get that. But now, McVay is so otherworldly that he is the guy winning all the games? With that reasoning, isn't he the guy losing all the games? Why are people so upset with Goff is McVay if doing everything??
It's going to be a long, long offseason.....
If I had to assign "responsibility" for the recent wins, it'd go like this:
45% - McVay
35% - Gurley
20% - Goff
The impact of losing a healthy Gurley has definitely taken a toll on both of them, but moreso on Goff who, with decent OL protection al9ng with a decent rushing attack, was just mediocre (at best).
