I hope for the Rams to beat Arizona obviously and the Seahawks to beat the 9ers. A Seattle team with three consecutive losses with their season potentially on the line next Thursday, would be a pretty desperate team, and with a veteran QB and HC that would worry me. Also Seattle typically has periods of the season that they have a couple losses in close succession and bounce back ok. Biggest thiby LSURAM - RamsFootballFans.com
Great point, injuries happen of course, but the number of IR players the last few years from SF seem excessive. Trauma injuries are unavoidable but the overuse injuries in some cases may have been managed better. I have always wondered if the way the 9ers practice and treat preseason games have any impact on the the high number of injuries this team seemingly has each year? He flashed at Alabama rushing the passer and setting the edge. As JR has alluded to, Lewis’ knee is on a management plan and she felt the Rams wanted to keep his snap count around 30 a game. McVay acknowledged at his post game presser that Lewis exceeded that count adding a bit more validity to what Jourdan said the teams’ plan was. Lewis has had days off of practice prior to Hollins getting iby LSURAM - RamsFootballFans.com
I wonder how many times we will get to see the yellow pants this season. The “modern throwbacks” IMO are easily the best of the new concepts. That being said I do like the blue jersey with yellow pants and prefer bone jersey on yellow pants vs bone on bone. I assume we will see the away jerseys paired with blue pants given the players seem to prefer that away combo.by LSURAM - RamsFootballFans.com
The Colts were playing a lot of two high safeties and dropping those guys back 20 yards from the LOS in most cases negating the ability for deep pass plays. In the first half they showed a single high safety look and right before the snap rotated the safety from the box back deep. The week before Seattle killed the Colts who played a single high safety look (cover 3) and Lockett destroyed them. Mby LSURAM - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteClassicalwit Quoteferragamo79Kupp back returning punts...really It speaks volumes about Tutu Atwell that he can't even get on the field to return punts. I really hope that changes before the end of the season. Tutu should have had room for a return but Robert Rochell couldn’t sustain a block on his man and Atwell immediately was tackled. Like most people, I think Jourdan is a phenomenal reporter and IMO has made other reporters that cover the Rams, ask better questions and probably study the game more. If you watch or listen to the press conferences, JR’s questions stand out even though you can’t see her face. Her Athletic articles and podcasts are both informative and educational. She has certainly made me a much more educated fby LSURAM - RamsFootballFans.com
I really enjoy your player breakdowns and look fwd to the each week, so thank you. I missed almost all the game helping my daughter move into an apartment. I wanted your take on what similarities you saw scheme wise that Morris implemented last night that was similar to Staley and what nuances Morris added. What you liked? Didn’t like? Why no Burgess on defense , and what role do you seeby LSURAM - RamsFootballFans.com
That article she wrote about Staley and McVay was nothing short of phenomenal if you like schemes and game planning. The Rams organization has come a long way on and off the field since they hired McVay. I think JR mentioned the article was 8 months in the making. IMO the Athletic is very well worth the subscription for the Rams coverage alone. quote=Rams43] I just read her latest article.by LSURAM - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteHornsUpRamily! No corresponding releases were necessary. The final three moves were all adding players to open slots. The Rams practice squad is now full, and any FUTURE move will require a corresponding release of a player. 16 players added, plus IPP Max Pircher. Thanks for the update. Over the last day or so, the team has added a few new players to the PS. Does anyone have the corresponding moves to free up those spots? Thanks I’m advanceby LSURAM - RamsFootballFans.com
Not to be a big downer but my guess is the national media is preoccupied with Afghanistan news. This storm could be Katrina 2.0 in regards to its impact on SE Louisiana. I’ve been through about a dozen major hurricanes in my life and this was like nothing I’ve seen before. The wind where I was (south of New Orleans) had sustained winds 60-100mph for over 12 hrs. Quoteroman18 they make it sound as if it's nothing much. But is this something that has been lingering or is something that was tweaked in practice? If it was a little minor thing that has been there why did they not get on it ASAP until waiting for now....is it something that the "health department" goofed on? If it was something that happened in a practice why was it not mentioned aby LSURAM - RamsFootballFans.com
Quoteferragamo79 I was thinking the same thing as Jones and Funk are unproven and Henderson and Sony getting dinged up I could see Henderson, Michel, RB cut and either Jones or Funk....whoever is the better ST player perhaps Jones goes to practice squad like Kelley did all those years Totally agree and I think X. Jones would be the one who would get cut. McVay has been pretty outspokenby LSURAM - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 I think both teams will be happy. Perhaps we can all exhale now when discussing our RB situation. All great points, that Sonny Michel is a complete NFL tested back. I might add that The Rams can monitor Cam Akers’ rehab and possibly extend Michel one more year to protect themselves. Ideal scenario IMO would be Michel has a productive injury free year, the Rams extend him one moby LSURAM - RamsFootballFans.com
FWIW I like this roster move rather than picking up an older free agent RB or going with Henderson and unproven backups on the current roster. I tried to conceptualize if the Rams started the season with Henderson, Jones, and Funk, and Henderson missed 4 weeks at some point of the season. I wouldn’t be confident in a UDRFA with special teams experience and a 7th round rookie with two ACL tears.by LSURAM - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 QuoteStafford9 I am starting to like him, and think he will not only make the team but start by mid season We’ll see. But it was impossible not to notice him in that 2nd quarter rampage. QuoteClassicalwit Doesn't Sterling Shepard appear to be laughing? The other guys look like they are waiting for a bus. QuoteJamesJM Not sure how one can make a clear determination about our RB's after this one preseason game.... To me the OL was bad enough to preclude any real analysis of the RB's. That isn't to say I'm not concerned with the RB's... because bad OL play or not none distinguished themselves. Jacob Harris looks the part and gets separation but needs to work on ball security. I thought the team played hard and swarmed to the ball on defense. Not a bad first half for the first preseason game.by LSURAM - Game Time Forum

Absolutely! I certainly appreciated his coaching style and the teams he developed through the years. Similar to modern day free agency, it’s rare to associate a coach to one school for as long as Coach Bowden was at FSU. Us of a certain age get a bit nostalgic when one of these iconic coaches retire or pass away knowing it’s a rarity these days unfortunately.
