I am starting to like him, and think he will not only make the team but start by mid season
We’ll see. But it was impossible not to notice him in that 2nd quarter rampage. We all ‘felt’ him, didn’t we?
I thought Garrett played well and it was encouraging to see him make plays after not standing out in the first game. I think the Rams look at him as a developmental guy similar to OBO, Ekuban, And Lawler. The LT for the Raiders looked like one of those huge yet lumbering athletes that Garrett was able to use his speed and ability to out flank to make plays. Garrett certainly has had success and based on his college success has a knack for finding the QB. I think that if he can contribute on ST, while learn more pass rush moves the Rams may have found a late round gem.
I like that the Rams draft team is able to identify players who can help and fill a need even when it may be a year or two away, as opposed to using draft picks on a player that the “experts “ are stunned that he is still available types from recognizable schools that typically don’t pan out.
