I liked Vermeil when he was at Philly! There have been few Ram coaches I did not like. Only Prothro comes to mind and actually even that doesn't really count... I didn't dislike him as a person... just his coaching... and that's true for a few other Ram's coaches as well.. that I didn't like their strategy/system/coaching technique... just not as much as I disliked Prothro's. Here is another inevitability..... you probably haven't experienced this but I have a large family so it's a 100% probability. As I've posted before.... my wife, daughter's, HATE when I turn up the sound on a good action movie. SO - I usually don't watch them when they are home, choosing to watch them when they are away.... BUT... guaranteed, zero chance this will NOT happen... right at the mby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
some of the best plays from the playoffs and SB, immediately following the SB , into a video and I don't think more than 2 days have gone by since that I didn't watch it. I watched it this morning. No doubt that has made the offseason go by more quickly. Also a fact: When the Ram's are eliminated from the playoffs, or lose in the playoffs... but not onboard with the 'despite themselves' and the 'destiny'.... the Rams were resilient. Resilient WITH talent, good coaching, and determination. Those games were close BUT... the Rams earned those wins. They were NOT gifted them, IMO that is.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
My wife is the most curious person on earth... she HAS to know everything occurring around her, including conversations she's not part of.. and that relates to your post in this way... While talking to me her head is spinning like a top because she HAS to see, hear, and know, what's going on around her at all times.... so only a fraction of her comments are made while actually looking in my dby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
As I've posted before... that '79 squad seemed to me just possibly the 'worst' Rams squad fielded in the 70's, well, discounting the very early 70's. For me, of course, that made that season exceptional and one of the most memorable.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
"We can improve". And for me I believe the situation dictates that we do. I especially agree and believe this quote from you, "We don't have to become more talented and open up new dimensions of excellence. We just have to execute better and make fewer mistakes. We have to wring out the chaos that we seem to love flirting with." And agree so fervently that I considerby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
historical data influencing my current expectations... and historical as in all the way back to the 60's. At the same time I don't think that's a very logical way to 'predict'. Which, by the way, I'm not saying you did... fully that is... you gave facts to back it up. With a SB victory last year it's easy to think, believe, the Rams last year were at the top of their game... elite... but lby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
it's physically using them that I hate. Unfortunately I need them... either the buds or headphones.... and I'm going back to headphones because as much as I hate them they are better, for me, than the AirPods.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
On my AirPods. And I hate them. That's no criticism of AirPods... I suppose they are actually very good... I just don't like using ear buds OR headphones..... although for movies they do help, a LOT. Tired of constantly asking "huh? huh? huh". Not quite as tired of it as those speaking to me are of having to repeat themselves but still sick of it. I think my hearing loss is typical.... I hear mostly a mumble if two people are talking at the same time. In my family that means I never hear any conversation because they ALL talk at the same time. All indications, hard data, would say yup... that's true... but I have to admit I'm not sure McVay IS quite like that. So far he's taken the hand he's been dealt... thinking injuries here. With a truly great AND healthy RB he could surprise us I think.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Hasn't the slightest comprehension of the fine art of 'worrying'. :laughing Kidding, Stafford. Yes, I am worried about it. But I also think truly good, (not elite), RB's are not at all difficult to pick up these days. Unlike a LT, or a QB, or actually any other position with the possible exception of kickers. Aker's, should he be back at 100%, would be hard to replace.... the others nby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I have... ummmm, not sure, several family members who are teachers.... they report that's it's almost unheard of for the parents these days to come in and ask for help or what can be done... it's nearly always criticism that they are terrible teachers, sometime with threats. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

that is until you can see a real football game.. Rams vs Bills. Not me... this Friday it's showtime. Ashton is ready to go. An off season of drills and 7 on 7's... training camp, preseason, complete!!!! Time to get nasty. Damn but I wish Kerman's colors were Blue and Gold. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
My grandkids ALL missed the school bus experience because they all moved to the huge metropolis of Kerman, 16,000 people, and live within walking distance. Damn shame, that. Half my great stories from grade school occurred on the school bus. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
How do you rate McD's sweet iced tea? I ask because when they came out with that some time back I kept hearing how great it was. Eventually someone with me ordered it and I decided to taste... had to spit it out. I've never tasted anything so sweet in my entire life. I don't know how they do it.. it's actually sweeter than if they just filled the cup with raw sugar. BUT... I'm most definitby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

If you remember, for most of my life I was not a coffee drinker.... maybe 3 or 4 cups a year. Then a few years ago... maybe 5?, I began... not a lot, certainly not every morning... but 2 or 3 times a week. In the winter I got up to most days and a couple of cups each day. Now, in the summer, maybe 2 cups a week. My point is: I'm not a 'true' coffee drinker like most. But I've noticed someby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

are effects on the vocal mic's. As you know... once the music starts it dampens effects... so they have to be set much higher during sound checks to compensate for the 'guesstimate' of where the instruments will be during the performance.... we don't have a sound man to stand out front and check with all of us playing... so I usually do it but obviously no drums... so it's a real guess on whereby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

Over the years I'd have to say that's the most requested and loved song that WE play. There are other's nearly as well received, however. We do a couple of old Beatle tunes that are always well received. Hmmmm, lemme think...
