If you remember, for most of my life I was not a coffee drinker.... maybe 3 or 4 cups a year. Then a few years ago... maybe 5?, I began... not a lot, certainly not every morning... but 2 or 3 times a week. In the winter I got up to most days and a couple of cups each day. Now, in the summer, maybe 2 cups a week. My point is: I'm not a 'true' coffee drinker like most.
But I've noticed something odd. Coffee brewed steaming hot... then left to sit until it's room temp, tastes better to me. I don't really drink it that way because I'm after a 'hot' drink BUT... as far as flavor it's better, to me, after it has sat and cooled for while. That's very odd, wouldn't you agree?
Also, explain this to me: If I drink a pot of coffee at night I can fall asleep no problem... BUT... if I have a coke, or pepsi, after about 2pm I won't sleep well at all that night. Tea is somewhere in the middle for me... doesn't effect me nearly as much as a coke but more than coffee. That's a problem because iced tea is my favorite beverage. And before you ask -
I drink iced tea both sweetened and unsweetened... but nearly always unsweetened. Best thirst quencher EVER. If I'm drinking it more as a relaxing savor of a beverage then sweetened, very lightly. - JamesJM
