We brought in a soft ice chest with ice and bottled water... AND... some hand held misters purchased at WalMart... little fans with a finger pump to disperse water. Don't scoff.. they actually work pretty well... AND, they provide for loads of entertainment spraying people when they least expect it. Games were LOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG..... they stopped play often for water breaks, but not long forby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I do think the ability to efficiently play the system suffers considerably but the one thing that amazed me about Wolf's start was McVay's willingness to call plays that were really no different than he did with Goff at the helm. Certainly 'looked' different because Goff and Wolf are/were very different... but the playbook, I believe, was left intact. Or maybe that's what you meant, that Wolfby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Two guys who were pretty well known and worked at the Coliseum... I don't think they moved to Anaheim. One was the peanut tossing guy. He got so famous, at least in the stands, that you didn't pay for his peanuts.... you just called out to see if he could get them to you with a behind the back toss, or a two bags at once to two widely separated fans. The other was less famous, quite a biby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
There are a couple Ram fan parents on our HS team.... they were following the game closely on their smartphones... I could not because I was taking video and scoring our Varsity game... AFTER the game I asked them how it went... After getting home and catching up with the posts on this board regarding Wolf and Perkins I was surprised by the takes I had heard earlier from the Ram fan parents at ouby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Borderline 'cancel the game' temps. But, they decided they're going to play... with a special game rule: I think it's a couple times per quarter play stops and the players get water and a splash down. Couple 5 minute cool down breaks per quarter along with normal water breaks. Last nights game wasn't too bad... 100 degrees at kickoff but the game started VERY late... 8:45pm.... normally kby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
for my grandson's High School team. I had not met him, (officially) until last night. Following the game I went down on the field to congratulate my grandson and took the opportunity to introduce myself to Mr. McCoy... "Mr. McCoy... I'm Ashton's grandfather". :laughing I'm sure most of you remember Anthony McCoy played for the Seahawks... also the Redskins but I think he was injurby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
because I suspect this, (I know, so what? :laughing ), that McVay sees the Wolf/Perkins situation closer than you... or me. Tangent: The rumor round my parts is that Lance shined magnificently in camp. I have not read one word about it so that certainly isn't coming from me. That comes from Niner fan friends and acquaintances which are NOT few in number.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
and my sympathies to your daughter... I fully understand since my daughter is also a grade school teacher. I've got several cousins who also teach... all of them report basically the same thing... that it's the parents that cause the most headaches. And like your daughter's experience... as bad and frustrating as it is those 'successes' outweigh them.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
are playing at the exact same time. Last week and again this week. Going to miss the first two preseason games. I'm not as in to preseason games as I used to be. Old age I guess... although I most definitely would watch them if I could.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

but I do think that's an issue that should be dealt with 'in-house' and not immediately expected to be fully disclosed to the public. I do admit, however, that this is, I assume, a contractual obligation that it seems Brady is breaking... and that would demand more disclosure. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
but things change. I don't know what the limit should be... but I know the way it is it brings about a 'risk' situation, the area of risk is a team call, that I think is too risky if you want to insure a fair game. Obviously it can't be 'perfect'... just better. More than the roster limit, and here I have NO CLUE how to fix this, is the inability to get backup QBs, or any position for that mby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

and the feeling that when you use the public to advance yourself, however that may be... acting, politics, sports... that comes with a degree of privacy exposure... BUT... I don't like that way it's used today which is basically 'nothing' is off limits and there is zero privacy. Not saying you BerendsenRam.. just using your post to express this. I liked Vermeil when he was at Philly! There have been few Ram coaches I did not like. Only Prothro comes to mind and actually even that doesn't really count... I didn't dislike him as a person... just his coaching... and that's true for a few other Ram's coaches as well.. that I didn't like their strategy/system/coaching technique... just not as much as I disliked Prothro's. Here is another inevitability..... you probably haven't experienced this but I have a large family so it's a 100% probability. As I've posted before.... my wife, daughter's, HATE when I turn up the sound on a good action movie. SO - I usually don't watch them when they are home, choosing to watch them when they are away.... some of the best plays from the playoffs and SB, immediately following the SB , into a video and I don't think more than 2 days have gone by since that I didn't watch it. I watched it this morning. but not onboard with the 'despite themselves' and the 'destiny'.... the Rams were resilient. Resilient WITH talent, good coaching, and determination. Those games were close BUT... the Rams earned those wins. They were NOT gifted them, IMO that is.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
My wife is the most curious person on earth... she HAS to know everything occurring around her, including conversations she's not part of.. and that relates to your post in this way... While talking to me her head is spinning like a top because she HAS to see, hear, and know, what's going on around her at all times.... so only a fraction of her comments are made while actually looking in my dby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
As I've posted before... that '79 squad seemed to me just possibly the 'worst' Rams squad fielded in the 70's, well, discounting the very early 70's. For me, of course, that made that season exceptional and one of the most memorable.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
"We can improve". And for me I believe the situation dictates that we do. I especially agree and believe this quote from you, "We don't have to become more talented and open up new dimensions of excellence. We just have to execute better and make fewer mistakes. historical data influencing my current expectations... and historical as in all the way back to the 60's. At the same time I don't think that's a very logical way to 'predict'. it's physically using them that I hate. Unfortunately I need them... either the buds or headphones.... and I'm going back to headphones because as much as I hate them they are better, for me, than the AirPods.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
On my AirPods. And I hate them. That's no criticism of AirPods... I suppose they are actually very good... I just don't like using ear buds OR headphones..... although for movies they do help, a LOT. Tired of constantly asking "huh? huh? huh". Not quite as tired of it as those speaking to me are of having to repeat themselves but still sick of it. I think my hearing loss is typical.... All indications, hard data, would say yup... that's true... but I have to admit I'm not sure McVay IS quite like that. So far he's taken the hand he's been dealt... thinking injuries here. With a truly great AND healthy RB he could surprise us I think.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
