God willing. Back in the 70's and 80's I had a friend who was also my archenemy.... he was a Viking fan.. need I explain the conflict between us? :laughing He was my brother-in-law, actually. He and my sister divorced back in hmphety humph... hell if I can remember, a long time ago... and he moved away. I've only seen him a few times since then but we have remained friends... my point:by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

Ashton's, I mean... I don't think they were that good... he threw a pick 6.... BUT.. he was nominated for the central section player of the week for his 2 TD passes and 2 rushing TD's. Be nice to win it.... that would mean he would have won the player of the week his Sophomore, Junior, and now Senior year.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I'm not saying it's not... I very much like the idea of McCutcheon and Harris on the roster.... but I have to admit I'm not comfortable with our lack of TE's, in number that is. Seems to me this is a pretty big shift in paradigm as far as offensive strategy... .although Atlantic in a reply to me in another thread spelled out a very good reason why it will not be; or rather, may not be.by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
recognize the name? Probably not... for good reason - she wasn't well known. But maybe you recognize her as: Ruth Dakin Bailey? Still no? Understandable... but if you answered no to both those names you do know her. She was the wife of Harry Bailey, George Bailey's brother. With me yet? You should be: "It's A Wonderful Life". Taco trucks, ice cream trucks, Gear sales, raffles, no chance I could list them all. Did swim meets go to "GoFans" like football? Here they don't charge to attend a swim meet... or at least they didn't when I went, maybe they do now. And in case you don't know GoFans - It's an app to buy your tickets to the games... they no longer sale tickets at the stadium. They ONLY accepby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

Sacramento is as hot as the Fresno area. I don't think I've ever been to any school anywhere near here, (we don't get up to Sacramento), that allowed you to bring your own water. And that's a hell of a lot of schools I'm referring too....won't take the time to list them all but dozens. And like I said... I know they want to 'sell' water... they make good money doing so and it's true that aby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

football in the valley is morphing.. into what I don't know. That whole 'transfer' thing is perplexing... not sure where that is headed but it sure doesn't seem like it's good for the game.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
move it back 2 weeks minimum or even a month. Football in July and August here is not wise. Think I posted a while back that a GREAT idea that WILL NEVER HAPPEN is to swap basketball and football seasons. Basketball in the gym with air conditioning then football when temps are under 90! And as said, I am more than aware that this would be as likely as ramgator going a year without making a puby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
But as for the game.. frankly... I didn't come away with much confidence. The number of penalties we had were ridiculous... we had two TD's called back in that game and BOTH were not on the drives where we scored. 4 personal fouls! Against Chowchilla we got away with it, although the game was very close... against the opponents we're about to face? Killers, game breakers. My son-in-law,by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I have not seen enough of Perkins to really make a good assessment... only hi-lights... and in those I'm skeptical of his arm. What I have seen, (admittedly not enough), Perkin's passes remind me of a Ray Guy punt... helium filled footballs hanging in the air almost in defiance of physics. That's a bit exaggerated, of course... but I have not seen a Perkins deep ball that I thought NFL worthy aby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
We brought in a soft ice chest with ice and bottled water... AND... some hand held misters purchased at WalMart... little fans with a finger pump to disperse water. Don't scoff.. they actually work pretty well... AND, they provide for loads of entertainment spraying people when they least expect it. Games were LOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG..... they stopped play often for water breaks, but not long forby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I do think the ability to efficiently play the system suffers considerably but the one thing that amazed me about Wolf's start was McVay's willingness to call plays that were really no different than he did with Goff at the helm. Certainly 'looked' different because Goff and Wolf are/were very different... but the playbook, I believe, was left intact. Or maybe that's what you meant, that Wolfby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
Two guys who were pretty well known and worked at the Coliseum... I don't think they moved to Anaheim. One was the peanut tossing guy. He got so famous, at least in the stands, that you didn't pay for his peanuts.... you just called out to see if he could get them to you with a behind the back toss, or a two bags at once to two widely separated fans. The other was less famous, quite a biby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
There are a couple Ram fan parents on our HS team.... they were following the game closely on their smartphones... I could not because I was taking video and scoring our Varsity game... Borderline 'cancel the game' temps. But, they decided they're going to play... with a special game rule: I think it's a couple times per quarter play stops and the players get water and a splash down. Couple 5 minute cool down breaks per quarter along with normal water breaks. Last nights game wasn't too bad... 100 degrees at kickoff but the game started VERY late... 8:45pm.... normally kby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub

Following the game I went down on the field to congratulate my grandson and took the opportunity to introduce myself to Mr. McCoy... "Mr. McCoy... because I suspect this, (I know, so what? :laughing ), that McVay sees the Wolf/Perkins situation closer than you... or me. I've got several cousins who also teach... all of them report basically the same thing... that it's the parents that cause the most headaches. but things change. I don't know what the limit should be... but I know the way it is it brings about a 'risk' situation, the area of risk is a team call, that I think is too risky if you want to insure a fair game. Obviously it can't be 'perfect'... just better.
