Sweet Home Alabama....

Over the years I'd have to say that's the most requested and loved song that WE play.

There are other's nearly as well received, however. We do a couple of old Beatle tunes that are always well received. Hmmmm, lemme think...

Last night "Dirty Deeds" by AC/DC was a big hit... but in general I wouldn't include that as a crowd favorite across all our jobs.

Oh, and this one: "La Bamba"... more of a 'gimmick' song but it seems to span all age groups for popularity. We do it as a semi-medley tossing in "Twist and Shout" in the middle of it.

At our last practice, knowing the band is ending, we asked each other our favorite songs that we played over the years... AND out least favorite.

Please don't get offended when I mention my least favorite... "Authority Song" by Mellencamp. I detest that song.. and when I mentioned it at practice I was exuberant in doing so.... so guess what song they chose to begin with?

Oh... and I didn't consider "Achy Breaky Heart" which is SOOO horrible I don't even consider it music. We do not play it these days, and haven't in decades.
