Analysts need to call it what it is. When you know, as an analyst, that you're seeing terrible QB play call it what it is. But most of these guys don't do that. What we don't know is if Tom will know where that line is and be good at walking it. I think whether you like or hate Aikman that's one of his strengths and it's why going after a guy who has been top of his position is valuable toby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Williams will win that job the moment they see him in pass pro drills. And he'll be an enormous upgrade from week one.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Go back and listen to his call as we won the Super Bowl. And tell me he's doing his job well.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Which, given our schedule, is a safe bet. But I think this year's team will be the one that gives McVay his first #1 seed for the playoffs. My rationale is that our secondary should be improved and we should be tougher to run on. Pass rush takes a hit but those improvements plus what I think will be a better group on offense plus 9 being in year two should equal a better overall team. Oby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
His entire shtick is to oversell anyone who makes a play. Just talk them up and fill the empty space, nobody ever questions compliments. The guy knows the game but rarely does that actually translate into insight because it's sandwiched between him running his mouth and not saying much. I think there's a lot of room for networks to get better at analyst.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Robinson is a much better receiver than Woods. It's not close. Odell still might sign with the Rams, but even if he doesn't having Robinson for 17 games is an upgrade over half a season of Odell. Williams is a significant upgrade over Henderson. He gives the Rams a much better backup situation. Last year this time it was clear the Rams were about to beat their head against that RB wall yetby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Not only are they the team that doesn't have a QB issue but they might have the league's best QB. Think about that one a second. Stafford might be the new best QB in the league. The media just doesn't realize it yet. He didn't just coast through the playoffs with a great team. Some might think that, but those are the ones who are in for a big shock as this dude goes into year two with bettby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
It's only a matter of time. He's probably dedicated to finishing out at least another season, maybe two, with Stafford playing like he has. But at some point the crazy money and the allure of being around the game while still having family time is going to win out.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Some of these guys are so bad I find myself turning off the sound at times. So if you're a network and want to be a keystone in the NFL's distribution why not have announcers who are at the top of their game.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
is that the Rams are an elite organization now in almost every respect. But not the trademark/logo side. Not by a long shot. Still enjoyed the Super Bowl. Will still enjoy the ring ceremony and all that too. Problem is if you're gonna set out with a goal to have the greatest ring ever--as stated in that article--it's not gonna happen when your trademark looks like a fifth grader created itby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
So we all felt that I think. I was crazy optimistic about the offense, probably too optimistic given year one for the QB, and even I was thinking to myself that this team probably lacked the pieces to get it done. Von Miller really changed the equation I think, he and Odell both had immense impact. But also McVay gave his finest head coaching performance of his stellar career in 2021 to getby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteThirtymac, The Intrepid Ram “ If Jones makes a move in year two the group will be even better too.” I’m thinking he is going to take a huge leap, particularly working with Wagner. Yeah I hope so. I'm a little concerned with how he and Wagner will shake out in roles but bottom line is competition is good for us. The better players always rise in competition so I hope Wagner makes Jonesby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Good chance we'll see both those teams in the Super Bowl. We'll get a playoff atmosphere for sure, it'll be one for the ages with all that on top of the Rams ring ceremony and probably banner hanging and whatnot.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
In the big scheme of things that's probably money well spent for a network to lock up a guy to represent them for a game that dominates viewership. Tom's a smart dude and I don't doubt that he'll be very good at the job. QBs in general are the best choice because they know so much schematically. If I'm running a network I want either a QB or a cutting edge type HC in that chair and you're gonnby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I realize this is subjective and some probably like both logos. But it won't be anywhere close to the best looking ring ever if they use the current Rams head logo. Whereas if they had a really pro looking logo of a Rams head the identity would be there and you could get special building around it. It's not like we get rings so it doesn't affect us really. Whatever they do though probably wby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Los Angeles Rams I could feasibly see the Rams add undrafted free agents at positions such as inside linebacker and tight end, but I think they’ll be most aggressive in exploring their options is at edge rusher. As we’ve seen in the past, the Rams haven’t been shy about adding veteran free agents at the position, or even making in-season trades. Henderson's window with the Rams is just about closed. He's a FA after this season. He is also a guy who has failed to do his job, which is back up the RB position and carry the ball when the starter goes down, for multiple years in a row now. He gets hurt way too often and wilts when he's asked to run into the teeth of a good defense. And he goes down if someone touches his shoelace. Theby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
But there is the possibility that could change with the current group of players. I don't think that possibility is very strong, for the record. But yeah I think it's possible. Rams likely to keep 4 Higbee Blanton (Competing for TE2) Hopkins (Competing for TE2) Markway (Journeyman/blocker insurance) Carter (Small but productive UDFA) Pettigrew (Looks the part and a willing blocker)by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I don't think they are maximizing their talent. Stefanski is well respected around the league but by the time he's done with the Browns that might not be the case any more. After giving up what they gave up for Watson it's going to be really funny if he struggles and then everyone realizes the staff is in over their head. I still think getting Watson was potentially a franchise altering moveby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
The SS role where he's lined up off the stacks with a diverse set of responsibilities. I think this guy will win that ILB4 role no problem the question is if he can beat out a bottom feeder from another position. But he's a safety type without the fear of contact. This guy doesn't shy from blocks and takes guys on with zero hesitation. Plays to the whistle too, I think he's got a shot.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Is they look at these mid to late round guys as what roles can they perform. Not whether they have a potential superstar in the player given a measure of his athletic scores. Go get guys who love ball and who can nail down roles and pack them around the stars. Also they do take guys who are athletic. They mix in "shots" at those types like Harris for example.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Sometimes things don't work out and they cut bait on projects. Whatever. He's not going to cut corners on the Rams who are his prime focus. So I don't think any of that applies here. In answer to the OP yes I think that's where the future Rams park will be and hopefully he designs it similar to what Jerruh did with the Cowboys.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
And of course the importance of QB keeps them from being in that top draft conversation compared to some other teams. But they had an outstanding haul of players to my eye at least.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteThirtymac, The Intrepid Ram “Crazy to think about this, but I hear the Rams have told the league they wouldn’t mind being the Packers’ foe in London … if the league planned to put the Rams in Lambeau Field late in the season. Might make sense, to both neutralize the Pack’s home-field edge and to neutralize possible foul weather.” They were a flawed team the last time they were there. Thisby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams didn't think he could help them as a safety. Their interest was probably solely as a slot but they drafted two slot corners. Question now is do they go get someone else tomorrow when the comp window is clear.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Here's his FCS championship game. Bisons got some talent and that OL was really something, they just pound the A gaps in this one. #44 Hardy lines up over Volson in this one who went round 4 in this draft, that's a pro-level prospect there with a ton of games played at that level folks, and they also have a round 2 WR that went to the Packers on the field. Troy Andersen (Montana St) also wentby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
I think he would have helped them a lot on defense. Safety is a mess but there are a lot of options for Raheem to coach up. Who knows maybe he gets that light to come on in Rapp's head or gets Scott up to speed. It's possible they see one of those guys as an answer. I don't recall to what extent we had Fuller/Scott back there but maybe that ends up being a great duo. We'll see. Either wby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Yep just shows these guys don't know the rosters.by merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Durant might be able to play outside the hash but he's pretty small so I figure he'll win the slot job and that'll be that. His film is full of him getting his head around and playing the ball which I cannot wait to see in this defense. Kendricks is more limited athletically but is also a ballhawk. He won't challenge Long unless both end up vying for package/situational roles. Long will beby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
Yeah I am eager to see how he fits. Even if he's just doing two down stuff for us he's gonna make that run defense tougher. But there is that chance he has a renaissance season and boy would that be something for us. :thumbsupby merlin - RamsFootballFans.com
