BUT... I can see the Ram's having him at the top of their board... so who knows?by JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
But it never changes for me... draft day is exciting. Admittedly it's been a little less exciting for me the last few years since our Rams weren't involved... on the first day that is. And... I'm fully expecting the same thing to occur today... never the less: It's exciting. The JamesJM Clan will gather around the TV this evening, everyone cheering on their favorites. We even have a 'locaby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com
I didn't think it was likely. For the life of me I can't figure out how my grandson's settled on OKC.... not that I mind it. Their love of the NBA has inspired me to pay a little more attention to the NBA. Damn little... but some. :laughingby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I'm asking because OKC has taken over in my family... not everyone but most, and most by far. Everything stopped tonight for their opening playoff game. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
that is: "Gone With The Wind" being "Over The Top" is what I was getting at.... the transition from stage acting to film acting. Gone With The Wind came out in 1939.... they were no where near adapting acting to film at that time. Now if that sounds weird to you, (not speaking to you directly Todd, but to everyone), think of it this way. Imagine seeing a stage play andby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I try to adhere to the same.... I don't think I'm better than most. Some for sure. :laughing HOWEVER.... The laughing at my own faults..... well, I tried that.... but the side effect was horrible. And far more technologically advanced than we are, are able to focus on earth and see life first staring form. They'll have to wait another 2.5 billion years to see the launch of Voyager 1 and 2. of course, I didn't take into consideration the fact that our Milky Way and Andromeda are on a collision course which will speed things up a little. that had you said a disparaging word about Roman around me I would have removed a few of your teeth. Come to think of it I probably still would. :laughing I was young then, and convinced that Roman could walk on water! Rams=Roman. Always will for me. - JamesJMby JamesJM - RamsFootballFans.com

I just thought 'bands'. BUT... pretty sure Chicago and BS&T are American? Tower of Power I know is out of Oakland.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
Not a chance in hell I could name a 'favorite'. I can say: I was very partial to the bands that had a full array of different musical instruments. Chicago, Blood Sweat & Tears, Tower of Power.... but that doesn't mean I necessarily liked them more than Zeppelin, the Band, America, etc. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
But like you say.... "some" had to have survived? We used to own land on the old Kings River. I say old because it no longer flows... or it does but not as a 'river'. I'll skip the explanation... my point being: During flood years it DID flow... and flooding was always a possibility. Some here may remember just a few years ago my home was under severe threat of being flooded.by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
was the Giants vs the Cubs at Seal's Stadium in S.F. I can't remember the year. I do remember a lot of the game - not as well as I remember the hot dog however. Hey I was maybe 6? 7? 8? I remember thinking Seal's stadium was a Palace. :laughing I couldn't believe anything like it existed outside of Europe. This is my old High School. That building was torn down my Jr. year. Here's what drives me nuts.... WHERE ARE those old buses today? Gone, I'm sure.... but what was their history? What became of them.... how many years were they in service and when they retired them what exactly became of them? Are any 'parts' still in existence somewhere? A wheel? An Axle? A seat? my post about my granddaughter attending the concert in Coachella, Ca. Couple nights ago she was showing me her photos, videos, from the concert, and I asked, "How much were the tickets to that concert". My granddaughter is still in college, she's 20, but has a full time job working with a little boy who has severe autism... so she makes good money - not a fortune, but good. except for perhaps some small venue dinner shows or something like that. But a huge concert at a major venue? Nope... up until yesterday I would have bet big money that I'd never attend another. This one I couldn't resist, however. - JamesJMby JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
what concert tickets cost today for the most popular groups. MY choice is FAR from popular. I don't think anyone on this board would even know the main guy I'm going to see. So I think my cost is HIGH.... other than, he's unique. Jeff Porcaro... great call, Seattle. You nailed it. His "Rosanna Shuffle" is top ten at least, maybe top 5, maybe TOP groove of all time. most will be able to assess the old actors fairly. There was a transition from Stage to Film... and acting style took a while to adjust. Early B&W films had actors performing on film like it was 'stage'.... which comes off to most as 'overacting'. What most today do not see is that even with 'overacting' their talent was extraordinary. There is, after all, 'overacting' and 'overacting'...by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
that will require an explanation, no? I have not been to a music concert in years. I'm old. Just saw, tonight, the artist who plays my favorite song of all time , (tied with another artist actually), will be at the Hollywood Bowl on Sept 1st. Now I suppose, because I'm VERY behind the times, that cost is nothing, right? But it is for me. Still can't believe I pulled the trigger. Don'by JamesJM - Bucky's Pub
I often get into an argument with my grandsons, (fun stuff, not heated, but never the less serious), about athletes of old and whether or not they could compete today. I think many could. My guess is a lot of you would agree with me there.... Which we very much disagree on.... I agree with you about the French Connection and also Gladiator... even though I enjoyed both. Nothing great about either, IMO. The others I've never seen. For me I'd put at the top: "Aviatar"... which.... this is just ME... sorry if you loved it, was the most shallow, corny, predictable, plot in the history of film. Unforgiven, IMO, is one of the greatest movies of all time. Strikingly brilliant... again IMHO. I was actually blown away when Unforgiven came out followed quickly by Tombstone because I thought westerns had met their demise.. Or do I have them turned around chronologically? So sorry you've been going through this for so long, Steve. and I was not like Mama, (women are better at this), I didn't pick up on any signs or hints. Still trying to absorb it, actually. And later in the series you'll meet Jefferson Davis... and the actor who plays him is even worse, IMHO. I found the acting an odd mix of 'very good' with 'very bad'. I should note: i've been critical of this series, very much so, BUT.... I enjoyed it a lot. I did the same with that old Ted Turner produced movie "Gettysburg".
