I'm not sure what to think about this. On the one hand, Rivera hasn't had much luck with is personnel, namely a constantly unhealthy Newton. On the other hand, I'm sure ownership's priority was to win with Newton and if Rivera couldn't do that, then he was the man for the job.

Overall, my impression is that Rivera is a good coach but I admit I don't put much focus on the Panthers throughout the year(s).
