I was never a Tannehill "fan" per se but I also wasn't a hater. Thought he did some good things in Miami at times. Mainly, he's not being asked to "carry" the Titans. He's a professional QB with starter's skills that, like many QB's would, takes advantage of defenses gearing up to stop Henry and the running game.
It's no knock on Tannehill but much like Wilson, I think the numbers get skewed a little bit sometimes. QB's on teams that feature defense and strong running games often have much more potency to their passing numbers. Their TD% for example is often far ahead of other QB's who are passing the hell out of the ball. And TD% will make a passer rating jump faster than anything else in the formula.
But it is curious how the Titans have given up 49 sacks on the year and are considered a good line while the Rams have given up 19 sacks this year and are considered massively dysfunctional or whatever.
