43 Agree seeing is believing and I wish we had more to see but the kid is 150 lbs and he showed enough in camp then I am willing to accept that and let McVay be the judge. We will have to wait until the regular season to see what the Rams actually have in Tutu. Since he will probably be limited in the number of snaps he takes it may be a few games before we are get to see actual results to formby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamstien I have to admit I'm not on the Tutu bandwagon but he is a Ram, therefore, I am pulling for him to be successful. I would not mind eating some crow and I will admit that McVay has more knowledge about football in his little toe then I have in my whole body. I agree Tutu has a lot to prove and apparently had a great camp. I think there is a big IF in terms of being able to stay heaby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
43 I love you and you are a great contributor to the board. I just think you are looking at Tutu all wrong. They guy is 150lbs and not matter how good his technique is as a blocker he will never be an outstanding blocker. None of the little guys that have succeeded in the NFL have ever been good blockers. The Rams have plenty of WR who can block. They don't need Tutu to be a blocker or likby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Totally agree that the top 3 Agree Tutu will be used in a situational manner Assuming all are active for games Skow/Harris will be used when they need extra blocking with Skow being in the lead right now. McCutcheon/Harris will be used when they want someone big who can catch the ball in traffic. QuoteRams43 QuoteDavid Deacon I agree that Wolf may be a better short term solution as a game manager under the current system. However, if Stafford goes down for an extended period of time I don't think we can win crap with Wolf. Wow I had him down as given to make roster. TE3 is Skow & Harris considered Hybrids now? Both can block pretty good. Or is Carter now looked at to make the team? We are kind of thin at this position considering this year could be Higbee's last due to the cap.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Real Positive news about Tremayne Anchrum and A.J. Jackson. Sounds like we have our swing tackle and guard as Coleman will be the backup for Center. Bruss can be brought along slowly as he clearly isn't ready which would be 8 offensive lineman. Don't see how Evans makes the team even if we decide to carry 9 lineman.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com

McVay may like Wolf as the 2nd QB but you must wonder why. My question is what has Wolf ever shown us? He came in for Goff and got hurt a few season back but before he got hurt he didn't seem to do much. It is said that with Perkins they run a different offense so maybe that is the issue in having Perkins as the #2. I like Perkins over Wolf and think you could actually have a few sets forby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Haven't heard that Watson brutalized anyone like Bauer did. Watson is also losing his salary for 11 games which must be like another 20 Mil. Bauer though loses like 60 Mil in salary. Glad Dodgers got the salary relief because Bauer is an organizational embarrassment.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
McCutcheon was an undrafted FA so as you would suspect he has some flaws in his game or he would have been drafted. We know he can catch the ball and catch it with guys draped all over him. Those are great traits for a WR to have. He also seems to have enough speed for the position and from what I have read he is a very dedicated student in the WR room actually sitting right behind Kupp.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
It is great when Snead finds a diamond nobody else sees and that player forces his way onto the roster. Still go a few more weeks before final countdown but it sure looks like he is close to locking up a spot.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Skow can block but he had a bad pair of hands. Harris has more talent but is raw. Both are good on Special teams. Both could be in danger. Maybe they cut both figuring one makes it through to the practice squad. If they want to keep Perkins they will have to trim down somewhere.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
While it is still early McCutcheon looks like a decent bet to force his way onto the roster. Harris or Skow or both could be in danger of being cut if they have to make room. This will be interesting to watch over the next few preseason games.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Akers and Henderson are decent backs when healthy. We can win with them starting. If they both go down we are in big trouble as our #3 back is far far behind these 2. Lets hope these guys are okay for the start of the season.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
For Tutu not to play in preseason it can only mean that he had an outstanding camp and that he is part of the plan for 2022. It will be interesting to see how he performs and how they decide to use him. I wonder if Jeffersons knee factors into the equation at all. Perhaps they are worried about the first couple of games and want a healthy Tutu as insurance against a longer than anticipatedby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
43 I found your post interesting and pretty right on. The only point I would add is that with so many young players that each of the 5 levels represents an areas where young players can mature and develop and that players may react differently in each of the environments. An example is Perkins who seems to develop more during game time than in preseason. Other players may do well in practiceby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Tutu seems to be doing what the Rams envisioned when they drafted him. He ought to be fun to watch as he brings a dynamic to the field that our other WR cannot match in terms of speed plus little fast dudes look even faster than they are. If he gets to play I doubt he will be a high usage option in the offense but when he gets on the field he will be a guy you want to pay attention to. I dby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Kupp is Great Guy and teammate. Student of the game, more so than any WR I have seen on any team. I am sure he learns from teaching others. Jalen Ramsey does similar things with the DB. This team is loaded with leaders who are also great guys. Wagner also seems to be that kind of guy. Floyd has stepped up and done the same thing. And Whit did it last year and continues to stay in touch andby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Got to love this pick up even though it basically cost us Woods. Having 2 WR who can block and line up in any position and run any route tree is very important. You have to imagine that Van, Tutu and Higbee and Akers/Henderson will all benefit from the attention the defense will have dedicate on Robinson/Kupp. I am really pumped about the potential of the offense. Quoteheadslapper Tutu is doing much better, but he he still can be overpowered at the line, is not that great of a run support blocker, and cannot do all the things. Ben Skowronek is bigger and is doing those things much better that Tutu. I want to see Tutu do well, I just don't see him working since it would be an obvious pass play when he is for example. Lake hasn't even seen the field yet so he is way behind and will have a tough time making the team. Not sure how Yeast is doing but at least he is getting reps. Seems to me if Rams are considering trading Rapp that means that Scott is going to start and that they are confident in Burgess as the #3 safety. $2.5 Million for a #4 safety or #3 safety who rarely sees the field is much to high andby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com

We may see AD freed up more to rush the passer with reckless abandon as he can trust Wagner and Jones to fill the gap that he leaves. Would be nice to see AD sack totals go back up into the mid teens again.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
It seems at a minimum McVay will find a way to insert Tutu into the game to give the offense a different look for 7-15 snaps per game. But who knows how quickly Van comes back and how long it will take him to get into game shape. Maybe Tutu forces McVay to increase his usage due to his play. Powell did great as a punt returner and seemed to be one of the best we have had in a long time. Az Hakim comes to mind. Powell as a receiver we have little information on but he was sitting unemployed in the middle of the season when we picked him up. I find it curious that a talented punt returner with good WR skills wasn't even on a practice squad somewhere. I am very skeptical of hiby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Wow 43 I love the optimism on the picks and certainly the early returns seem promising except for the injuries to Lake and Williams. I also agree that it seems we have some late round players that will make the roster, play on special teams and even get into the rotation at some point this year. QuoteRams43 Rams FO can downplay it all they want, but this season hinges upon Stafford and his health. Hope it’s not serious but the stakes couldn’t be higher. I agree with your comment. Stafford is a gamer who can play hurt and they seem to be managing the situation. However, it may mean less practice rep during the season if this issue persists. If he goes down for an extended period oby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
It sounds like Jefferson will be fine and ready to go but perhaps miss a game or two. On the bright side this gives more reps to Tutu, Skow & Harris & may speed their development. They don't seem to be too worried about Stafford's arm and are taking steps to manage it so he is ready for the season.
