Tutu has shown to be the total package except for blocking. Right now defenses must focus on Nuca and Tutu but what happens when Kupp comes back? He will be the number 1 focus which should open things up even more for Nuca and Tutu. Tutu has caught the ball over the middle really well which is something I didn't really expect out of him. When Kupp comes back I expect that will use him toby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRamsdude QuoteRams43 He’s showing us some serious playmaking skills now and winning contested catches that I never expected to see from such a small WR. Both he and Nacua are putting Jefferson to shame. By staying healthy and making quite a few contested catches and playing very tough when going over the middle. :thumbsup I still have some doubts he can hold up at this pace for a fuby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I would like to see Evans too but he just may not be ready to pass block and don't want to risk an injury to Stafford. Like to see more Tomlinson as Kendricks seems to make stupid plays. However in his defense they aren't completing lots of passes in his area. He just seems to fail near the end zone either for a touch down or a Pass Interference which leads to quickly leads to a touchdown.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Van Jefferson looks like the odd man out when Kupp returns but he may fall behind Skow if he continues to stink up the joint.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
How do you go through OTA, Training Camp and Preseason and have Akers as the starter and then after 1 game decide he needs to be off the team. Why couldn't the figure that out earlier when they would have had a much better opportunity to find a replacement? If you didn't think Akers was that good certainly we should have been on the hunt for a starter or a solid #2 back. Williams is okay aby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
What a disappointment Akers is. Seems we should have been on the hunt for a RB this off season. Williams as a starter puts us near the bottom of the pack as far as RB go. He is okay as a 2nd or 3rd back but as a starter he is very subpar. Having the ball bounce off his hands for in interception yesterday took us out of the game. Akers and Jefferson are big disappointments but at least weby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
While it may be true that you can't judge the draft class for a couple of years the early returns on this draft class are that it is a smashing success. Puca, Young, Turner, Evans, Avila all look really good. If that were all that made it you would consider this a great class especially when you consider that there was no 1st round pick. But there is still hope for more production whicby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
If Williams replaces Akers it means Akers is a huge failure and the Rams are really lacking at RB. Williams is not a quality starter IMO but I love him as a 2nd back. Dotson over Noteboom? Maybe if Noteboom is injured again or if he needs to take over at one of the tackle positions. Tomlinson? He should be on the field plenty so he is in a good position to move up the depth chart basby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Gosh you would have to think both players are very important. Rams need a consistent deep threat and Tutu answers that and because of his speed the defense must account for him on every play which will be much harder to do once Kupp is back. Tutu also showed he is more than just a role player but deserves to be on the field at all times. Puka showed up big time and is a great complimeby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
I have been saying all along that we have a playoff caliber offense and yesterday seemed to validate that to a large degree. I thought if the defense could be middle of the road we would be a playoff team with a normal amount of injuries. While the defense played great I want to see more before I get overly excited but I love what I saw. I expect the offensive line to jell in the days aheaby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Tutu got a lot of attention from the defense and when he went in motion he was a great decoy and he also cleared out the defense on one of Nacua's sidelne catches. He runs great routes and snatches the ball out of the air aggressively and is always a deep threat. The other thing I noticed is that he played the entire game which is a leap I didn't really expect. He looks good and Staffby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
The defense sure did seem to tighten up after the 1st quarter. You can see the overall speed and aggression going to the ball. You have to imagine the will get better too with all the young guys maturing. I still think they may be vulnerable to a strong power running game but it looks like we might have a decent pass rush and the defensive backfield was impressive for the most part.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
There are probably 10+ players on the Rams that could breakout due to our youth. The amount of rookies and 2nd and 3rd year players covers most of the roster. Should be an interesting year.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
QuoteRams43 Not predicting a Todd Gurley type of season, mind you, but I am expecting a very productive season for this young man. All the planets are lined up for him to prosper. A contract year for Akers. Newly re-energized McVay re-discovering the running game. An OC with a strong background in run game appreciation. A rebuilt OL with size and physicality. An OL coach that reby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
The offense can be playoff caliber and possible elite if everyone performs up to expectation and we don't get slaughtered by injuries. However, we do have decent depth and can sustain a reasonable level of injuries. Except at QB of course. Defense is a big question but I think the have a chance to surprise. However, I would expect the to have some issues early on due to all the youth.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com

QuoteRams43 Quoteden-the-coach QuoteRams43 Ironic, isn’t it? After all those years of spending like a drunken sailor with both cap dollars and premium draft picks now the Rams are fiercely holding the line financially. They don't want to spend their money, this year. Next year several edge rushers could shake lose including Chase Young. Time to save today so you can spend tomorrow. If Mathis makes it through they will IR him with a return option and bring back someone who they cut.. Perhaps the kicker?by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Rams are one of the leaders in comp picks. They have consistently had a younger rosters. You get comp picks when you develop players and they go and sign with other teams. I would say over the last 2 years they have focused more on win how than on developing young talent as they were in a win now mode. Now we have shifted and are building a young core for the future. Gosh did Bennet look terrible or what. Simple throws behind the WR and when he was on target it was to the wrong team. Body language looked terrible too. And where was the Athletic qualities that are always touted? He looked to slogging through mud. The breakdown was a total team effort and I expect him to rebound but this was a stinker.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
When you look at the good the bad and the ugly and only have a punter in the good column you are in big trouble. Especially when the rest is ugly.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Of all the things we have to worry about this year I don't understand the obsession with the offensive line. Boom is not going to make or break the success of this line. Anchrum is fine as a starting RG. If Boom is healthy and up to snuff on the position change and starts that if fine too. I am not going to sweat it until I hear that Hav's is out and Bruss is starting in his place. Hopefby David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
Maxie was on that great Rams defense when I first started watching the Rams as my team as a 10 year old kid. RIP Maxie.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com

I wouldn't get to worried yet. Winning is not the objective of these games. Lot of this is figuring out last 25 guys for Roster and Practice Squad No real game planning Few guys that will be in rotation playing with a bunch of rookies. Expect rookies to get better each practice and each game. Should be a hockey stick growth curve.by David Deacon - RamsFootballFans.com
