Yes, it was a great experience that I'll always remember...
Ol' Dave sounds like he's 'all show, and no stay'.... (what a douche)...
I can only recall one instance of 'on stage sabotage'. I was in a band while stationed in Germany. We were playing at a beer fest in a kind of 'Battle of the Bands' sort of thing. The group just ahead of us appeared to be young high schoolers (army brats). We had done an earlier sound check, and some of our instruments were simply left on stage, but out of the way. Well, it appears, as the 'brats' were leaving the stage, one of them decided to throw a big crank on the A-string of my bass. Of course, nobody noticed, so we got up and got ready to jam. I didn't feel the need to tune-check (yeah, yeah, I know). And as luck would have it.... our first song was The Beatles Day Tripper LOL. And you know what that means. My 4th note into the song was sour, and we had to do a stop (quick tune) and restart.
Never could figure out which of the little @#$%& did it. But I'm sure you could appreciate the quote that comes to mind....
I wanted to " hang em by their Buster Browns".
