Yeah, I've never taken lessons, either.. I could probably benefit quite a bit from them..
I remember reading years ago that Billy Gibbons attributed his tone to his Les Paul Standard, which was an older model that had amazing tone.. He named it Pearly Gates and he doesn't tour with it, to keep it safe, but uses it to record every LP.. Been offered $5 million for it, but refuses to sell it.. that's what I've read, anyways..
