I mean, is there a benefit to that? I know, yeah, someone can take the keys to open a locked front door or something with the car running, but seriously - I don't even see why you'd want that capability.. Especially with the consequences so bad - like in your two situations.. Heck my cars barely run with the key in them - I wouldn't even know what to do, otherwise...
