There were problems with the generation 13 and 14 i9 processors, but maybe they have those straightened out by now.
I'm not crazy about Mcafee or Norton... I had Mcafee until early April, frankly there were probably more popups from Mcafee for added services than if I had been infected by malware.
Like 21Dog, I have the paid version of Malwarebytes and happy with that. I uninstalled Mcafee and enabled Microsoft Defender as kind of a backup. I couldn't really get a clear answer (that satisfied me at least) whether Malwarebytes was sufficient by itself, but online reading convinced me that those two and general caution are probably good enough. My brother swears by Bit Defender and has an extra license he was going to give me, but it wouldn't play nice with Malwarebytes and I wasn't going to give that one up. There are some free ones that usually get pretty good ratings, I think anything is better than nothing.
