Is just how amazingly LAZY Recruiters are. GEEESH! When I was going through the process in late 1985, Recruiters were FREAKISHLY Gung Ho and down right bothersome. That's back in the days WELL before the simple contact of e mails and cell phones. I think I had to call my Recruiter just once. And those were the days when the Military was swarmed with people to join and looking hard for more. In the last 5 years, I have heard the lame excuse......"I've had to deal with other Recruits" DAYS after expecting a phone call or worse.....a returned call. Navy Recruiters were flat out pathetic. Early on, I had a conversation with a Navy CPO! It was like talking to someone with the communication ability of a 13 year old. Another Navy Recruiter flat out lied about not getting VERY important documentation. We assumed he was processing it. That was a 4-5 month window where nothing was done. Did the Recruiter call and ask where it was?? Nope! Then came Covid. I'll give them that. That was a mess. But overall.....Military Recruitment is very bad and in a time when I hear they NEED Recruits. Even the USAF guy. He has been much better. But even he is far from the standard of what I was used to.
