Prayers needed y'all. I am SO sick and down for my Son. His Military dreams probably dashed. I got the word last night at around 9:30. I hardly slept for three hours last night. I am stilled pissed. When he first went to MEPS.........FIVE %^%$^ YEARS AGO, his pulse and BP was up. He was NERVOUS! He also has a very slight deficit of hearing loss in left ear. FOUR years ago, he went to a Cardiologist that found ZEO issues with his heart. But he wrote "Anxiety" on the report. And THAT is the key reason the USAF Surgeon General said......"D.Q." I am no Doctor but I DO know my Son has never been diagnosed with Anxiety and has never taken Meds for such a thing. I also know that Anxiety is NOT diagnosed by one EKG only. That poor kid has jumped through every hoop the Military has put before him. Some things FOUR times. I intend to first call his Recruiter this AM and then I want contact info for the USAF Surgeon Gen. I keep hearing sob stories about the Military being WAAAAY behind in Recruiting. I WONDER WHY??? When I was in the USAF, I worked with a guy who had nervous tics. One guy had a big time lazy eye. Anxiety???? My Son's current Recruiter said he got a Recruit signed up who had done PRIOR HARM TO HIMSELF??? Yeah....I'm going to be in full blown "Karen Mode" later this morning. Wish me luck. UUUGH!!! Ok, so what happens is when a person is actually hired for civilian positions, they are in.. they can't be fired, can't be let go.. once you're in, you're IN.. you're not allowed to ask for a portfolio and nobody bothers with interviews.. they go strictly by the answers in the questionnaire..

So, ever vet who fills out the questionnaire answers that they are EXPERTS in ever field.. and Impromisemyou none of them have ever done that type of work EVER in their lives.. complete beginners.. but they answer they are experts.. So they get hired to be a computer programmer.. they walk in daynone and can't even turn a computer on, but they can't be fired and can't be let go.. So you've got an absolute beginner given a job that requires multiple levels of expertise..

Well, getting in a position to do that job on ANY level takes years.. that's what's happening across all jobs and levels in civil service.. that's why nothing is ever getting done, like in your case.. it's maddening, but it's the government stacking the deck.. Since 1989, the Military has had to function with major cuts. During Obama's time, the USAF was going to the Arizona Bone Yards for parts. Also...P.C. has taken importance over practicality. Top that off with trying to Recruit so many kids who don't wanna leave the Basement and XBOX and you have a mess. Recently, the USAF upped the age to enlist to FORTY TWO??? But they want to keep people out who WANT to be there but cannot hear a flea fart in a sound booth.
