Just how lazy Recruitment was. It was pulling teeth to get them to do anything. The USAF guy made phone calls and at least halfway pressed the issue. NOW...Where I am PISSED is that if hearing is a D.Q., WHY was Thomas not told LAST year?? I also went off on a MEPS guy two days ago when I asked....If an automatic D.Q. Why the Eff did you guys send him for a C Scan of his ear??? He said if there was any questions or inquiries, it would cover them. To which I replied. A C Scan on HIS time and on HIS dime?? I might have pressed the right buttons because I had another MEPS E-7 tell me he would contact HIS Superior and see if Thomas can get a regular USAF test and NOT MEPS. Said he was not overly fond of the MEPS structure.
But what you said....I keep hearing about all the Recruitment shortcomings and then they Jerry people around. And what my Son cannot hear is a tone that you can ONLY hear in a sound proof booth with a head set. Taken that test 35-40 times in my life and if you even BREATHE you will not hear it. HOW does that keep a kid out of the Military??????
