I understand the desire to keep Baker as a backup and heir apparent to Stafford, but there are other positions needing upgrades to get this team to the playoff level again. Why would Baker even waste 2 years if his career on the bench? Too many things can happen before then and he's already proven he is starter material.
The Rams need to identify a young promising QB that McVay can work with, either through the draft or FA. Enough of Wolford, maybe even Perkins.
