Early last year: people saw Morris' scheme as failing. "Morris sucks".

Morris defense gets hot (probably because of gelling and Miller) : "he changed the scheme and got more aggressive".

Early this year : "Morris changed the scheme again and it's bad again!"

I highly doubt that he would change the scheme back to something that wasn't working after changing the scheme to something that was working. It's clear to me that last year the defense just took time to gel. And this year the defense has been perfectly fine but people expect them to be perfect which just isn't realistic.
