What I do know is that "my eyes" saw less double digit drives in the second half of the season and playoffs and I am sure the stats would show that too.
Something had to change, be tweaked or whatever but the lesser amount of double digit drives in disputable IMO. Now, what caused that stat to drop? Debatable, but it DID happen. SOMETHING attributed to the lack of long time-consuming drives.
.
Look them up:
First half of season double-digit play drives = 18
Second-half of season double-digit play drives = 15
First half of season drives of 5 minutes or more = 12
Second half of season drives of 5 minutes or more = 16
Drives of 10 or more plays and were 5 or more minutes (long time-consuming drives)
1st half = 11
2nd half = 15
Thanks for posting that.
The disparity isn't as big as I thought. Only 3 more double digit drives in the first half of the season? So, they DID get better at cutting down the drives later in the year...but not by much. Not sure of the reason though.
The other 2 stats show we even got a little worse than later on. Were we leading more games later in the year allowing teams to "eat clock"?
This reminds me of the old saying "don't believe what you see...believe what I tell you!".
I just got new eye glasses, so that can't be the problem!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
