No JY53, I just bristle at posters who wield stats as if they are the only and final word.
By this articles math, trading for Miller was pointless because we posted the same numbers without him that we achieved with him.
This is nothing against Morris by any means.
Better players give coaches the freedom to be more flexible in their approach. That's what many of us believe we saw last year.
This year, lacking an edge rusher and saddled with DB injures, Morris seems to going back to basics with notable success.
The availability and type of players dictate the philosophy..
I see it just as you do. Stats can be deceiving and used to make or break whatever point you are trying to make. According to that logic, Miller made no difference and we all know that is wrong whether the stats show it or not.
One stat I posted about early last year definitely changed as the season wore on and that was the amount of double digit time consuming drives that were given up early in the year were not happening as often later in the year.
Early this year we are giving up long drives again. That has to change. We aren't good enough to score on less opportunities this year like we were last year.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
