I see it just as you do. Stats can be deceiving and used to make or break whatever point you are trying to make. According to that logic, Miller made no difference and we all know that is wrong whether the stats show it or not.
Because people think they saw something they didn't.
When Miller made a difference is last 2 games and in playoffs. He was a great pickup but he didn't make some miraculous change in defense
2nd half of seasons. He didn't have a lot of sacks or hurries . . . until very late.
The thing is when you study the defense and see the games more than one time you learn about it and understand it.
Too few people do that and the can conflate things.
The Rams earned the Super Bowl ring and Miller was huge part of that, so they backdate that impact to when Rams
first got him, rather than when he was actually making an impact.
But the defense was NOT significantly better after Rams got Miller than before. That is a fact.
People just lied about Morris and made the defense out to be much worse than it actually was.
It was hate-driven from week one
