It is hard to not see 2021 as, in part, a destiny thing. Things that happened in other games are in part how the Rams ended up winning it all. Not saying that doesn't happen to other Super Bowl champs. For the most part it does. There are very few "no doubt" teams that just slice through the playoffs and win it all. Teams like the '85 Bears, '86 Giants, '89 49ers and '91 Redskins are the exception, not the rule. Most of the Patriots' Super Bowl wins were by very thin margins.
But it is fair to wonder what if Green Bay had not folded vs. SF at home and the Rams had to go to Lambeau the next week? If Buffalo had won that coin toss and beaten KC in OT? Etc. The Rams still might have won it all. But they might not have.
