Last year was just destiny.
The Rams didn't even win the division. They kicked the Cards butt in the wildcard round. After that, they won 3 games, including the SB by 3 points. Each one of those games could have easily been a loss. The TB game was kind of an embarrassment because of the near collapse, although it felt real good to snatch it from Tommy Boy.
Things set up perfectly for us. SF beat the Cowboys and went to Lambo instead of us in divisional round. We almost lost to Bucs in the conference semis and SF beat the Pack (for us). We got the 9ers at home for NFC championship and finally beat them. And the Super Bowl battle with the underdog Bills was another nail biter victory.
So what I am saying is that the Rams won last year despite themselves and were aided by lucky scheduling breaks. Maybe they won't have the expected regression because the world hasn't seen the best Rams team yet. They have gained all of the experience and confidence. How many SB plyers are presently on the team - a bunch! We won with Troy Reeder as a starting LB for goodness sakes (Sorry, Troy!).
