I’m suggesting that too many owners do not place winning as their highest priority.
Consequently they are not as aggressive about getting best possible (and most expensive) coaches and FA’s. Might be skimping on their scouting system, too. All things not cap related in order to maximize profits.
Other than sheer incompetence, what else explains why some teams are perennial doormats?
