That's where we're differing. I don't "know" or even really suspect that Wolford could handle a few game stretch of starting. The injury issues are really sticking with me but I admit, one could be a fluke and an appendectomy could reasonably be excused as anything to really worry about long term. But, as Ramsdude(I think) pointed out, as good as Wolford's first game was, that seemed to quickly be taken away in the second game.
Really, he's sort of a condensed version of Goff's career in a way. What worked initially, was taken away and we don't really know who the real Wolford is. On the one hand, no QB is defined in just a start or two and that lends hope to the idea that he could become a viable backup. On the other hand, most guys don't even get that first chance, much less 2 or 3 or more. Getting hurt, not being available for preseason...how many strikes before he's out?
