Heck, the idea of trading for him as a replacement for Goff was being floated prior to acquiring Stafford! Remember that?
If he’s truly available for a 6th, and with the Rams having a handful of 6ths already? Almost makes too much sense.
I like Wolford, mind you, but I don’t see him as more than a pretty good backup that can win a couple of games should Stafford get hurt. Minshew seems to have the higher ceiling. And then there’s the possibility that Minshew might impress other teams and later fetch a juicy draft pick in trade down the road.
Wouldn’t that be a nice win-win-win for all parties?
