Yeah, regardless of what they call him, where they line him up, etc. he has to be at least marginally able to (a) block and (b) play special teams. Otherwise he won't be active on game days. Period.
I'm glad that he will get a full training camp and preseason (unlike Hopkins last year) as it will at least provide a baseline for where he is.
He could be a very effective redzone option. He could have field-stretching ability. But I don't think he'll be activated to do those things until he can do more than that.
If I recall the Rams ranked Harris as the top special teams coverage guy in the draft. So agreed, that is going to be part of his resume.
