Perhaps you're right but I dont recall that. Plus the two notions are not incompatible. I they could have still went with the first design after all the market testing etc.
Imo...the new uniforms are exactly that..a blend of new and old. Its plainly evident to me.
So why do you get that impression? Do you think 50 or so old people posting on a chat board is representative of all fans? In any event I would argue follow the money. Does anybody have merchandise sales from last year? If the sales are lagging you are probably correct.

Supposedly there was fan input taken into consideration but that contradicts what he said and challenges what seems to be the reality of most fans wanting some modernized form of the older stuff.
While I am not surprised that some people are okay with, or even like the new uniforms, I would find it very hard to believe that many or most like them. I don't get the impression at all that those objecting are a vocal minority. Rams fans were proud and passionate about their colors and uniforms. The dirty laundry is a net fail.
