While obviously Nike was involved as I believe they are in all NFL uniform designs your comment
"listening to Nike and whatever little support groups and secretaries"
assumes KD and the rams did not perform any market testing with the uniforms which imo is highly doubtful. The rams have demonstrated to be cutting edge for better or worse in every facet of professional football. It's inconceivable that he would make such an important decision without at least following industry standard which would include market testing.
You know what they say about "assuming"? lol
Spin it however you want but Nike has a WELL publicized reputation for messing up uni's in multiple sports. Not only my opinion but many people's opinion.
Please let me correct you Sir. I never said "KD and the rams did not perform any market testing with the uniforms". We all know they did have sessions with "some" fans. Regardless, I still stand by my statement that KD made a bad decision on the rebrand. As you can see in my sig, Mr. Ram Jack Younglbood agrees with me so I feel pretty good about my opinion and I am in good company.
I am glad you like them as I know many others do too. However, I agree with Eric Dickerson also who says "new uniforms make Rams look soft".
LinkWe have 2 more release coming. I am hoping the next releases will honor some of the long storied traditional look that our Rams are so well known for up until now. Maybe a road white similar to the away Ferragamos with a full horn on the helmet again?
Since I don't want to turn this thread into an argument and have this thread deleted like the last one, I will just say that I respectfully disagree with your opinion on KD, Nike and the new uni. There is no reason we can't have both "new" looking uni's and a traditional set too! Then we can all be happy.
Have yourself a GREAT Rams day!
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
