I don't think I heard him claim that this is first hand knowledge. This is written more like a novella.
While I suspect that most of this is probably what went down, it's still just an opinion based on what we have all seen and assumed.
I guess it's that this feels like just another opinion piece, put out by another journalist, that is dressed up as facts..... as though he has some direct knowledge given to him by McVay and Snead. And I really doubt that.
