I too see the psychology of McVay and I hope he matures......but I'm starting to have some doubts "cough" Gruden "cough"
I'm still trying to figure out how it was Goff's fault on those endless receiver screens, trap running plays with 190 lb. wide receivers, red zone play calling. I thought the play calling bordered on ridiculous in many games this past season.
I'm not buying that Goff was holding the team back; I haven't seen one of his teammates say that.....and Aquib Talib took offense to Stafford as an upgrade.
I think their is big potential for trouble and here are my reasons for saying that:
1. McVay has been figured out by other coaches
2. We stand to lose several players off that defense: Hill, Floyd, J. Johnson, Williams
3. Henderson and Akers have both had a few injuries already
4. If they don't win or stay at a high level, how does AD react?
5. Offensive line is still in flux: Whit?
6. Very average team 'speed'....no game breakers at receiver
And that one that really scares me:
ZERO DEPTH
Better hope Snead is absolutely magnificent with our handful of draft picks.
