As articulate and detailed as McVay is and the fact his primary efforts are on the offense and he was in Goff’s ear before every play where did you get this ‘McVay assumed Goff knew his expectations’’. You mean do your job, or execute plays as I design them or be professional and know this offense in and out? I can’t imagine any coach in the NFL not articulating from day one expectations for each player, especially a QB, the team and the entire organization.
