R2K implied it when he said "McVay looked like he wanted to kill him.... Bones was gone after that."
Translation: McVay got mad which resulted in Bones' departure. It being strongly implied is close enough.
I know exactly what R2K said.
You took that as saying losing his temper is what caused Bones to leave.
He doesn't say that.
He just says he blew up at Bones on the sideline...and then at the end of the season Bones leaves. That leaves it open for either Bones or McVay to decide after that moment and after that game that they couldn't work together. Not that the anger was the sole and direct cause.
He didn't say "which resulted in" as that one thing was the direct and only cause of the other thing. And I don't think R2K WOULD say that, he's an informed Rams fan and we all know it was not that simple.
