I agree. I think part of it is the lack of production but there seems like there was something else going on. We may never know. It is unlike McVay to not praise players but when he was talking about Goff I feel like there was a different tone in his voice. It was just weird.
There was a lot of talk about them having deep and difficult discussions about what McVay was looking for from the QB position. And there were reports that they weren't "seeing things the same way" and "needed marriage counseling." Last week on this board someone suggested that maybe Goff had become uncoachable. I now suspect it was something along those lines. Maybe at some point, Goff told McVay that he couldn't or wouldn't do what he was asking for.
