Did they improve over the injured and problematic OL of 2019 that ended up starting 3 inexperienced injury replacements? Hard not to improve over that just by staying relatively healthy. The 2019 OL was a big problem. The fact that they went 9-7 with those issues says a lot about the coaches and a lot of the players.

Did they improve "by a lot" to become a top OL? Truth is nearly everyone sees the issues they have.

They were solid a lot of the time, sometimes without Whitworth, but the one absolute key to beating the Rams offense is to attack the OL if you have the horses to do it.

I agree with NMR. No one has proven otherwise.

I think the guards are okay, though Evans was a mess last game. Whitworth is fine but he's not going to keep coming back and this year proved to me that they have no one behind him. Hav can be fine for a few games in a row but there are always defenses out there that can turn him into a liability. Blythe does not hold up when directly attacked the way a few teams did. That's not a top OL. They have a great coach but there are always going to be games where that group will get exposed.

They will always win some games because they're well-coached and there's Akers.
