As a coach - can you imagine scheming plays open each week and your "guy" continuously doesn't go where you want? That has to cause strain and, at some point, cause you to make a change if it continues.
Or it's the coach trying to fit the qb he has into a square hole.
All this "I saw a guy open" stuff aside (because the truth is no one here knows what McV is asking, he may be demanding a quick high percentage passing game because of the combination of these WRs and this OL, plus I don't always believe the story that someone was "breaking open"--a lot of the time it doesn't hold up). So. Let's say for argument's sake that McV is souring on JG after extending him (because that does not happen without Mcv).
Okay. So for argument's sake we're saying McV is souring on JG.
Name the last time that happened. A coach with 4 winning seasons and playoff wins with his young talented qb but that coach just sours on him.
Sorry but that sounds like the problem is the coach.
I mean it's not like this is Wentz. Which is how the people with complaints all sound to me, frankly--like they think this is the same as Wentz.

Great way to frame it, ZN. The way I see it, the expectations of a few fans has risen to the point that Goff's performances are what's holding this team back. The problem isn't Goff (see his throws vs GB, & Aikman's comments during those throws), it's the expectations of those who want more, and view him as the easiest scapegoat, namely because he touches the ball on every play (save Wildcat snaps).
