Agree totally Maxie and losing Edwards did hurt because as good as Evans is in the run game, he's not as good as a pass blocker. IMO, it might of had to do with Goff's inability to slide in the pocket, like Rodgers and still keep the play alive. Maybe watching Rodgers gave McVay delusions of grandeur.
Overall I concur that McVay should have stuck with the run more, but the passing game was there, unfortunately the offensive line could not give Goff the time and I also agree that was one of Jared's better games in awhile & he deserved some credit as maybe wearing gloves ala Kurt Warner is what he should do going forward.
Maybe a change is coming with a mobile QB in the future we shall see, then this might of shed some light on McVay's discontent. Let's hope if not a change moving forward with Goff, the Rams upgrade the Offensive Line allowing the opportunity to run, but to hold up in pass protection when those situations present themselves.
